The genderfuck activists will succeed, not because of their own efforts, but because our collective understanding of the genome will lead first to designer babies and later to corporate ownership of the reproductive process. Androgyny will be built in. Early on, everyone will agree on the need to keep mistakes (however those are to be judged) out of the gene pool. Monsanto (convenient name) will gleefully accede out of a desire to protect their intellectual property and keep their customers coming back. The one percent will be able to optimize the numbers of their minions. Sounds horrible — but it'll still be better than what we grew up in, and indeed androgyny will be common and acceptable.

(To be precise and thorough, not everyone will be androgynous: some folks will be homosexual. And for the rest, or just in case, the second generation will be genetically programmed to die in utero until the tampering has progressed to where the concept in utero has been lost.)
